Donald Trump has **w gone from demonizing Mexico to commending the country in little more than a year.

The Republican presidential **minee praised Mexicans on Wednesday during a joint press conference with Mexican President Peña Nieto, and pledged to work with Mexico if he is elected president.*

The tone of the speech could **t have been farther from the tone of Trump's first campaign speech in June, 2015, when he called some Mexican immigrants "rapists."*

"When Mexico sends its people, they're **t sending their best," Trump said at the start of his campaign. "They're **t sending you. They’re **t sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing *****, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people."
