Two injured in accident

PAKPATTAN: Two people were injured when a van hit a donkey cart near Chak 20/SP.

Reportedly, a speeding van hit the donkey cart, leaving Allah Ditta and Muhammad Ahmad injured. Police registered a case against van driver Qurban.

WOMAN TORTURED: Some accused tortured a woman on Tuesday.

Reportedly, accused Waheed and his accomplices entered the house of Nazeer Ahmad of Mushtaq Nagar, Arifwala, and tortured his wife Razia Bibi. Police have registered a case.

HELD FOR DECANTING: Police arrested two shopkeepers on charges of decanting on Tuesday. On a tip-off, police arrested shopkeeper Ashraf who was decanting.

Police also arrested shopkeeper Muhammad Zeeman of Muzaffarabad, Arifwala for decanting. Police have registered cases.

FAKE CHEQUE CASE: Police booked an accused on charges of issuing a fake cheque.

Reportedly, accused Muneer Ahmad had gotten Rs 2,720,000 from Rafique Khalid of Pakpattan and gave him a cheque that bounced. Police have registered a case.

SUBSTANDARD MEAT: Dr Tahir Iqbal of slaughterhouse booked a butcher on Tuesday.

Police booked Javed of Machli Chowk, Pakpattan, on the report of Dr Tahir. The accused was found selling substandard meat. Police have registered a case.
