Pickpocket escapes from police custody

BUREWALA: A pickpocket escaped from Sadar police custody on Monday.

Muhammad Amir of Shahkot was arrested on August 21st, 2016, when he stole PML-N local leaders Shahzad Dogar, Dr Muhammad Sarwar and others when they were present to welcome PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz.

Police arrested him red-handed and took him to a local restaurant to recover things. There the accused tricked constable Khalil Ahmad and fled with his accomplice on a motorcycle. Sadar police registered a case. DPO, Vehari has suspended the constable.
