One killed in Karak hand grenade attack
PESHAWAR: At least one person was killed and three women and a child injured in a hand grenade attack on a house in Karak, a police official said.
According to the police, some unidentified persons attacked a house owned by Faqir Nawaz with a hand grenade in Narai the Panwas area of Karak on Saturday, killing his son and injuring four others of the same family. The injured included Faqir’s wife, two daughters and a child. Two of them are stated to be in a critical condition. And in Peshawar, the Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) defused a hand grenade found at Mufti Mehmood Flyover. Police say a fuse of the bomb was fitted with a wooden piece which could have blown up on at anytime.
