Altaf has **thing to do with threats made to Amir Liaquat: Nadeem Nusrat
 

KARACHI: MQM's Convener Nadeem Nusrat de**unced the death threats received by Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain and stated that party chief Altaf Hussain was absolutely **t involved in making them.

According to MQM's website, Nadeem Nusrat expressed concerned over the alleged death threats received by former MQM leader Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain. Nusrat called on the federal, provincial governments to provide Dr Amir Liaquat with adequate security and demanded the arrest of culprits who made such calls. He said that based on threatening phone calls from a**nymous numbers, it was unfair to blame MQM chief Altaf Hussain for being behind such an incident.

Following his resignation from MQM, Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain claimed on Thursday that he had been receiving threatening phone calls and SMSs. Dr Amir Liaquat claimed that he had received death threats from an a**nymous caller who stated that he would be 'buried in the Pakistani flag.'

Dr Amir Liaquat left MQM after the incident when party chief Altaf Hussain made an instigating, inflammatory and anti-Pakistan speech in which he called on his supporters to attack the ******s of private news channels Geo News, ARY News and Samaa TV. A couple of minutes after the speech, MQM workers and loyalists vandalized ARY News' ****** in Karachi's Saddar area.
