Authorities demolish MQM ******s situated on govt land
 

KARACHI: MQM’s sector and unit ******s were demolished and sealed in different areas of the city on Thursday, which were set up on government land.

Actions have been accelerated against the allegedly illegal ******s of MQM on the government’s order. The unit ****** situated at Pakistan Chowk has been sealed while the party’s unit ****** near Mausamiat and Quaidabad Majeeed Colony has also been demolished.

Strong actions have been taken by the government against many other ******s of MQM situated in areas such as Bhains colony, Sakhan, Sacha and surrounding area of airport police station. Police claimed that all the ******s were established illegally on government land .

Meanwhile, unidentified persons ******* MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s pictures and posters from Nine Zero and Mukka Chowk. Mukka Chowk’s name was changed to Shaheed-e-Milat Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk. The structure was built during Farooq Sattar’s tenure as the mayor of Karachi in 1991.

However, Altaf's pictures and MQM’s flags had also been taken down from important areas in Hyderabad. On the other hand, Muttahida labour division ******s located in government sectors have been terminated.

As a consequence of the inflammatory speech delivered by Altaf Hussain on August 22, senior leaders and activists of the party have been arrested by police, while MQM has been directed to set up its party ******s on the land or area that the party has purchased legally.
