If you take one thing away from this first trailer for ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, let it be the music. You might have heard it before, but those are still some funky-ass grooves.

The classic Sega Genesis game ToeJam and Earl made a surprise comeback in early 2015 with a very successful Kickstarter campaign led by the original game's creator, Greg Johnson. It's a reboot, borrowing the original game's ideas and mixing them in with some new flavors.

ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove will be published by Adult Swim Games and it's coming to "PC and console" in 2017.
