Bill Lee is supposed to call soon, but then a public relations rep emails and says it might get pushed back. Lee "missed his train" that morning, it seems, and "we're having a hard time tracking him down."

The predicament couldn't be more perfect. This is the guy they call "Spaceman," after all.*

Casual baseball fans below a certain age might **t k**w his name, but to longtime MLB aficionados, the former pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos is a legend of the game — for his personality as much as his play. Imagine Hunter S. Thompson on a baseball diamond, more or less.*
