Samia Shahid murder: suspects sent on 14-day judicial remand
 

JHELUM: Two suspects in the Samia Shahid murder case were sent on a 14-day judicial remand to jail, on Monday.

According to details, the court sent Samia Shahid's first husband Chaudhry Shakeel and Chaudhry Shahid to prison on a 14-day judicial remand as proceedings of the murder case were conducted on Monday. Police have completed the task of collecting evidence in connection with the case. Proceedings of the case were heard by Jhelum's Ccivil judge Justice Abdul Sattar Malik.

Samia Shahid's father Chaudhry Shahid and her first husband Chaudhry Shakeel were presented at the court for the hearing. Police informed the court during the proceedings that evidence relating to the murder case had been collected and requested the court to send both suspects to jail on judicial remand. The court assented and sent Chaudhry Shahid and Chaudhry Shakeel to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

The court postponed the hearing of the case till September 5 and ordered police to present the interim challan of both suspects at the next hearing.
