Says he has ** plan to retire from party or politics; anyone can join PPP

GARHI GHUDA BAKHSH: Former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah says he is still young and energetic and has ** plan to retire from politics.

Talking to the media on Sunday after offering fateha and laying floral wreaths at the graves of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto here, he said the PPP was an ocean and anyone could join it.

Shah said he was thankful to Asif Ali Zardari for keeping him as the Sindh chief minister for eight years. He said it was **t necessary that old people should serve at key positions. He said Syed Ghaus Ali Shah could join the PPP but he will have to sit on the back benches adding that ZA Bhutto had once said anyone could join the PPP.

He said the PPP would rule the country in the next elections. Shah said he was **t thinking about retirement from the party or politics adding that he will continue to play an active role in politics as long as his mind worked and he could walk. He said if the PPP handed him any responsibility, he will accept it. Shah’s daughter Nafisa Shah, MNA, Ayaz Soomro, MNA, and others were also present on the occasion.
