Hoti blasts KP govt for shelving projects

TAKHTBHAI: A former chief minister and Awami National Party (ANP) provincial chief Ameer Haider Hoti on Sunday criticised the government for shelving projects initiated during his government.

Speaking at meetings with ANP workers at his residence, Haider Hoti said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had deceived the Pakhtuns.He added that the PTI leadership had promised to launch development projects in the province, which were yet to be started.

“The PTI-led government has pushed the province towards bankruptcy as development funds are being lapsed,” the former chief minister maintained. He said that some of the projects launched during his government were scheduled to be completed in 2014.

“Such vital projects had **t yet been completed as the government is reluctant to release funds,” he added. He asked the party workers to set aside their personal differences and work for reorganisation of the party.

The ANP leader said his government had to face terrorism, floods and other disasters but at the same time it undertook several major projects.
