Boult leads the way for New Zealand
 

DURBAN: Attacking bowling from New Zealand´s Trent Boult delivered two important wickets as South Africa went to tea on 146 for four wickets on the first day of the first test at Kingsmead on Friday.

Boult bowled a consistent line and length with attacking intent to snag the wickets of opener Stephen Cook and the highly rated Hashim Amla as the visitors looked to have the edge after the first two sessions.

The eco**mical Boult went for 18 runs in 13 overs as South Africa struggled to settle on a difficult wicket in unfamiliar circumstances as they hosted an out-of-season test in August in Durban for the first time.

Amla top scored for the home team with 53 before being caught behind, as was Cook for 20.Dean Elgar (19) and JP Duminy (14) were the other wickets to fall, with captain Faf du Plessis (18), taking the place of the injured AB de Villiers, and Temba Bavuma (22) unbeaten at the crease.
