Blake Shelton has responded to criticism of some of his older, truly horrific tweets that were recently brought to light. In his apology, The Voice judge attributed his comments to his esteemed comedy skills.

"Everyone k**ws comedy has been a major part of my career and it's always been out there for anyone to see," tweeted the country singer in a **te.

Everyone k**ws that the words "anybody who who may have been offended" are the hallmark of a genuine apology.
