PAKPATTAN: Police Wednesday arrested bootleggers and recovered liquor from them.

Police arrested accused Nazar Muhammad of Karippa Ram with 10 litre liquor, accused Ghulam Nabbi of Chak 21/EB with 5 litre liquor, accused Ghulam Fareed of Illahi Bakhsh with 10 litre liquor and accused Ghulam Ali of Gulshan Iqbal Colony, Arifwala, with 10 litre liquor.

Police arrested accused Nasar of Chak 79/EB with a rifle, accused Maqsood of Chak 79/EB with a pistol, and accused Madasar of Chak 75/EB with a shotgun.

Police have registered cases.

FAKE CHEQUE CASE: Police booked a man on charges of issuing a fake cheque.

Accused Zahoor Ahmad purchased a tractor for Rs 725,000 from Dariya Khan of Chak 93/D and gave him a cheque that bounced.

Police registered case.

HELD FOR SELLING OIL: The District Civil Defence ******r Wednesday arrested a shopkeeper, who was selling petrol illegally.

Accused Barkat of Chowk Chitti Qabar was found selling petrol illegally.

Police registered a case against him.

MOTORCYCLE STOLEN: A motorcycle was stolen on Wednesday.

Reportedly, Muhammad Aslam of Gulshan Iqbal Colony, Arifwala, parked his motorcycle (SWL-1164) outside his house and when he came back he found it missing.
