India declines Pakistan's offer for talks on Kashmir
 

NEW DELHI: The Indian High Commissioner declined Pakistan's invitation to hold special talks on the issue of Kashmir.

According to details, the Indian High Commissioner replied to a letter that had been written by Pakistan's Foreign Secretary, in which he had invited India to hold special talks to discuss the issue of Kashmir. Refusing the offer, the Indian High Commissioner gave the reply to the Pakistani authorities that Kashmir was India's internal issue hence it would **t be part of the negotiations.

Protests in occupied Kashmir have erupted ever since the killing of freedom fighter Burhan Wani. Thousands of Kashmiris took to the streets to voice their desire for freedom. Indian security forces' atrocities claimed the lives of more than fifty people while five thousand people were also injured.

Pakistan had urged the international community time and again to dissuade the Indian government from committing excesses in occupied Kashmir. On India's Independence Day, thousands of Kashmiris marked it as a Black Day.
