Suffice it to say, **t many people thought 18-year-old Australian swimmer Kyle Chalmers had a big chance of taking home a gold medal.

Yet here we are. Chalmers spectacularly beat other favourites to win the 100m freestyle Wednesday night at the Rio Olympics.

** wonder grandparents Malcolm and Julie Bagnell, at home in Port Lincoln, South Australia reacted the way they did. Just pure, teary euphoria that you'd only get from a moment like this.
