LONDON — One of the best things about the Olympics is remembering the great moments from Olympics past.

On August 3 at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games in Spain, Derek Redmond suffered a torn hamstring during the 400m men's semi-final, instantly shattering his dreams of a medal.*

Heartbreaking injuries at the Olympics certainly aren't uncommon, but what followed would mark this event as one of the most inspired and memorable moments in Olympic history.*
