McDonald's tests Singapore appetite for upmarket with three new fancy burgers

SINGAPORE — As local appetites for bigger and better burgers grow, McDonald's is heeding the call by bringing its "premium" range of burgers here.

Three new burgers will start becoming available islandwide: classic cheese with Angus beef, spicy tortilla with angus beef, and spicy chicken with apple slaw.

Before this, the burgers were available only at the new flagship location that opened a month ago at East Coast Park. That outlet has a salad bar, a dessert station, and other food items like soups and Belgian waffles that that don't exactly scream McDonald's. Read more...
