President Obama commuted the sentences of 214 federal inmates this week — including the grandmother of Super Bowl champion Demaryius Thomas.*

Remarkably, it's **t the first time Obama has commuted the sentence of a relative of Thomas. Last summer, the president let Thomas' mother out of prison.*

We'll start with Thomas' mother, Katina Smith. She was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison in 2000 for helping run a cocaine ring in Georgia, according to The Denver Post.
