‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’
KARACHI: The crisis engulfing Pakistanis stranded in Saudi Arabia has deepened, and it has almost assumed the character of a human catastrophe, said Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News programme, ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, on Wednesday. He said that 8,000 Pakistanis stranded in Saudi Arabia are crying for help and looking towards the government to get them out of their predicament. Shahzeb said that the extent of the predicament of these people is such that they have ** jobs and **thing to eat. They have six months outstanding amount which their employers have **t been paying them. The misery of those stuck in camps in Dammam is especially heart-wrenching. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the minister for overseas Pakistanis to proceed to Saudi Arabia immediately to find a way out of the crisis. Shahzeb said that the Pakistani leadership has some very cordial relations with the leadership of Saudi Arabia. In the **t too distant a past when Saudi Arabia was having some problems with Yemen, the kingdom has requested Pakistan to send its troops. Saudi Arabia had hosted Nawaz Sharif as a guest of the royal family during his years in exile. Even **w the Sharif family has close ties with the Saudi royal family. And yet thousands of Pakistanis are in dire straits in Saudi Arabia today who are **t asking for any dole but just demanding what is rightfully theirs, said Shahzeb. He said that these Pakistanis are simply asking for their dues from the Saudi companies. Shahzeb said that the cordial personal ties the Pakistani rulers enjoy with the Saudi rulers are on the basis of Pakistan, and it is high time that these ties are used to rescue the stranded Pakistanis. Commenting on the issue of Rangers authority, Shahzeb Khanzada said that the Rangers have been granted extension in stay in Sindh and special powers for 90 days, but the overall dispute over the matter has **t yet subsided. Elaborating on the matter, he said that the federal government has issued a **tification whereby the Rangers have been granted extension. However, the current issue is that the Sindh government in its letter this time round had attached 15 conditions. **t accepting those conditions, the federal ministry of interior issued its latest **tification in continuation of its May 9, 2016 **tification. In a different segment of the programme, Shahzeb Khanzada said that the IG of Sindh has been inadvertently encouraging the people to take law into their own hands. Shahzeb wondered if this is an ack**wledgment by the police chief of the failure of the department in doing its job? He said that the Sindh IGP has given a person a Rs50,000 reward for having killed two bandits. It will be a very dangerous trend if the people started taking matters into their own hands because ******* are **t the solution to all kind of matters. In fact, arms are a problem in their own right. Meanwhile, Shahzeb Khanzada said that Wasim Akhter has rejected the statements appearing in police JIT vis-à-vis May 12. On the other hand, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement is adamant that come what may Wasim Akhter is going to be the mayor of Karachi. In a yet different segment of the programme, Shahzeb Khanzada said that Imran Khan whose politics revolves around leveling allegations against his opponents is **w facing some allegations against his provincial government. A woman belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has leveled some very serious allegations against the KP government. Shahzeb said that Imran Khan must realize that his politics should be based on performance. Politics based on leveling allegations against the opponents will sooner or later backfire. Meanwhile, Pakistan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Manzoor-ul-Haq, the Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Law, Murtaza Wahab, a social worker, Shehzad Roy, and the wife of a Pakistani stranded in Saudi Arabia, Saira, also spoke to Shahzeb Khanzada on the programme. Saira said that she has been going through some very tough time financially due to her husband, Iftikhar’s, having been stranded in Saudi Arabia. She said that her husband has **t been paid his salary for the last seven months, and that she does **t even have e**ugh money to buy food. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/YEor/~4/rm5YjWjM4h4 أكثر... |
