Disrupts Imran Khan’s press conference



ISLAMABAD: An upset female government employee from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wednesday disrupted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s news conference. Her sudden appearance close to the PTI chairman, stunned the party leaders, some tried to stop here, but failed. Imran also made an attempt to silence the crying woman, identified as Azra Afridi.

Imran signaled his party men **t to pursue her, as she continued speaking: he stopped for a moment and then left the scene without finishing his media conference, leaving Hamid Khan, Dr Arif Alvi, Naeemul Haq and others helpless behind.

The woman introduced herself as an ******r in the education department. She addressed Imran to say that she had two daughters, against whom the police had lodged an FIR. Ms Afridi alleged she was forcibly transferred from her post after she started work in the then **n-functional schools in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP). She blamed a**ther female ******r for her worries and alleged she was involved in corruption of millions, enjoying backing of certain PTI men. She alleged that she was being targeted for unmasking corruption, as salaries were being drawn while sitting at home. It was learnt that Imran telephoned KP Education Minister Atif Khan and asked him to submit a comprehensive report on this matter. She told media persons that she had prepared a report on ghost employees to her seniors but she was transferred and then a wave of her victimisation began for having exposed the corrupt elements in education department. She had also **t been paid her salary for the last three months. Ms Afridi confirmed Imran had called her and her children for a meeting at his Banigala residence. But he had **t met her.
