For most of the American population, it's hard to remember a time before women were allowed to vote — but Jerry Emmet does. And she helped **minate the first woman candidate for president from a major party.*

On the floor of the Democratic National Convention tonight, 102-year-old Jerry Emmet cast her vote for candidate Hillary Clinton. While most delegates on the floor mention their state's football teams, and wonderful crop exports — Emmet had a slightly different contribution. She, was born before women were even allowed to vote.
