That's right — Holliday took a 95-mph pitch to the face and somehow avoided significant injury.*

Matt Holliday was hit by a fastball from Padres pitcher Andrew Cashner in the sixth inning Thursday night. The mis-thrown pitch hit Holliday square in the face — "near the left side of his **se and upper lip," according to the St. Louis Post-Dis*****.*
