On Thursday, the WNBA an**unced they were fining three teams — Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Phoenix Mercury — over players recently wearing shirts in protest of recent U.S. shootings. The American women's basketball league fined each team $5,000 and each player $500.*

The WNBA sent out a memo earlier this week to the teams reminding them of the uniform policy.
