Actor Anton Yelchin tragically passed away last month in a car accident at the age of 27, and his legacy is ho**red in Star Trek Beyond, which opens this weekend.

Star Trek producer J.J. Abrams made a statement that Yelchin's character would **t be recast in any upcoming films.

“I would say there’s ** replacing him. There’s ** recasting. I can’t possibly imagine that, and I think Anton deserves better,” Abrams told Postmedia Network, as reported by the Toronto Sun.
