LOS ANGELES — *This was the moment *the digital entertainment industry was waiting for.

Ever since March, when the Television Academy said it was expanding its Emmy categories to include more digital, content creators have been hoping for more Emmy recognition.

"Fingers crossed!" several publicists wrote in emails to Mashable regarding the **minations.

On Thursday, short-form video scored big during the 2016 Emmy **minations, with YouTube, Vimeo, *****le, AOL and Funny or Die all nabbing **ds in various categories.*
