Police Chief David Brown delved into Stevie Wonder's back catalogue to express his feelings at the Dallas memorial service for the five murdered ******rs Tuesday, quoting at length from the singer's 1977 hit "As."

After talking about his youth listening to the likes of Al Green and Teddy Pendergrass and trying to get dates, Brown asked the audience at the*Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center to imagine him with an afro and bell bottoms.

Then he said he would "pull out some Stevie Wonder for these families," referring to the relatives of*Brent Thompson, Lorne Ahrens, Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol and Michael Smith who were killed during a mass shooting Thursday night.
