I didn't withdraw from MQM, the party distanced itself from me: Ishratul Ebad
KARACHI: Gover**r Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan said on Wednesday that MQM had distanced itself from him whereas he had **t withdrawn from the party.
The Gover**r Sindh performed Eid prayers alongside Chief Secretary Sindh Siddiq Memon and senior officials as well as delegates from Muslims countries, at Bagh-e-Jinnah polo ground. After the prayers, Ebad spoke to media personnel and wished the whole nation a very happy Eid. He also praised the efforts of defence institutions for maintaining peace in the country. In response to a question, the Gover**r of Sindh said that it was the MQM that had distanced itself from him and **t the other way around. Last year in May, MQM formally asked Ishratul Ebad, who is the longest serving Gover**r of Sindh, to resign from his post. Reasons cited for the demand was due to his inability to control the extra-judicial killings of MQM workers. Ishratul Ebad Khan has been the Gover**r of the province since the Musharraf regime, remained as such during the PPP tenure and enjoys the same position under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's stint as well. http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/com/YEor/~4/HT_oxv_C548 أكثر... |
