Rescue 1122 ready for monsoon alert
 

PESHAWAR: The Rescue 1122 service has taken steps to cope with any emergency situation after the Met ****** issued the monsoon rains alert. A press release said the measures were in the light of the Met ****** alert that forecasting monsoon rains.

The Director General of the Rescue service, Dr Assad Ali Khan, on Saturday cancelled the leaves of the operational employees of the service during Eidul Fitr. The Rescue 1122 ******s will remain open, added the press release. The Rescue 1122 spokesman Bilal Ahmad Faizi said the service workers would reach the low-lying affected areas to offer first response in case of rains. First aid would be provided to the affected population and those in need would be shifted to the hospitals, explained. The spokesman said the Rescue 1122 service ******s in Peshawar, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat and Abbottabad were ready to deal with any emergency situations.
