Pakistani diplomats, families safe in Dhaka: Foreign ******
 

ISLAMABAD: Foreign ****** says all Pakistani diplomats and their families in Dhaka are safe.

In a statement, Foreign ****** Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said Pakistani diplomatic staff has restricted their movement following the attack.

"We have confirmed that there is ** Pakistan national among the hostages", he said.

The gunmen attacked the Holey Artisan restaurant in the Gulshan district of Dhaka, popular with expatriates, in an assault that began around 9 p.m. local time on Friday.

Italian and Indian nationals were among the hostages.
