Breakfast cereal is an American staple, and **w, thankfully, a high-end delicacy.

In New York City's Times Square — *the home of such cherished American restaurants as The M&M store and "Man selling water bottles out of his backpack" — a new cereal café called "Kellogg's NYC" will open on July 4. Kellogg's NYC has partnered with Anthony Rudolf, the General Manager of Per Se, to create the cereal bar, and will include both basic cereal and elaborate cereal-based celebrations.

The menu includes traditional cereal favorites, but customers can also choose from such delightfully highbrow (and borderline **nsensical) items like: "The Pistachio-Lemon" cereal bowl. For $7.50 a bowl (yes, a regular box of cereal costs far less than that), you can get Special K original, Frosted Flakes, pistachios, lemon zest and thyme.* Read more...
