America: where Rivers Cuomo can freely bite his fingernails and NASA commissions Weezer to write a patriotic song.

"I Love the USA" was commissioned by NASA and Apple to hype up the Ju** Mission, an unmanned satellite set to reach Jupiter's orbit on July 4 that could use some good press.*

Weezer explores dream pop territory on the hyper-positive track, "eff yeah, this place is great!" declares Cuomo before flexing his First Amendment right and altering the message, "fuck yeah, this place is great!"







"We were on tour abroad, and it got me thinking a lot about America, which lead to me write 'I Love The USA.'" explains Cuomo on the the band's website, *"When Apple and NASA asked us to be involved with Ju**’s historic landing on July 4, this song seemed like the perfect fit." Read more...
