Chelsea Handler had two abortions when she was 16, and she's grateful she had access to a safe and legal abortion clinic, she wrote in an essay*recently published by*Playboy.

In her essay, the talk show host and comedian detailed how she had been impregnated twice in the same year by the same partner, **ting that it cost $230 to pay Planned Parenthood.

"I’m grateful that I came to my senses and was able to get an abortion legally without risking my health or bankrupting myself or my family," she wrote.
