The Otamatone, the brainchild of Japanese art group Maywa Denki, is quite possibly the best and cutest tiny instrument you've ever seen.

The adorable toy is shaped like a smiling music **te.*To play it, squeeze the smiley-face **te's head while moving your fingers along the stem to adjust the pitch.



The musical toy is very popular in Japan and even won the Japan Toy awards in 2010.
