Toddler recovered, woman kidnapper held
From Our Correspondent TOBA TEK SINGH: Chuttiana police on Thursday night raided Hujra Shah Moqeem, Okara, and recovered an 18-month-old toddler and arrested a woman kidnapper. Zakariya, son of shopkeeper Ashiq, was playing in a street at Chak 305/GB when a village boy, Waseem, allegedly took him to Toba Tek Singh City and handed him over to accused Shamim. Police traced the call of Shamim, which she made to Waseem from Hujra Shah Moqeem. To it, police immediately raided the area and arrested Shamim and recovered the child from her. Wasim, a**ther accused, was already in police custody. During interrogation, accused Shamim told police that she had eloped with Yasin of Hujra Shah Moqeem and contracted marriage with him. As a result, she became pregnant. In the meantime, Yasin met an accident and his both legs were fractured. After the accident, Shamim left him and got herself aborted. Later, she made an abduction plan to extract money from Yasin. She called and told him that she had given birth to his son, whom she had kept with her brother due to poverty. After the phone call, Shamim to Zakariya to the house of Yasin and he considered himself to be his father. After recovery of the child, the villagers gave cash prize to the raiding police party. RALLY: A rally was taken out to condemn the assassination of Amjad Sabri at Gojra on Friday. The rally was taken out from Nadra Chowk up to Malkanwala Chowk.
