David Cameron an**unces resignation after UK votes for Brexit
LONDON: British Prime Minister David Cameron an**unced he would resign after three months immediately after referendum results showed that the British had elected to opt out of the European Union.
With his wife by his side at 10 Downing Street, the British PM said in his short address that the decision of the common man in UK should be respected. "I respect the decision of the British people. We will work in accordance with the decision they have taken," he said. "The British people have voted to leave the EU and their will must be respected. The will of the British people is an instruction that must be delivered. There can be ** doubt about the result," he added. Cameron also an**unced that he would resign and leave the post of Prime Minister after three months. "I am very proud to have been Prime Minister of this country for six years. I have held **thing back. The British people have made a very clear decision and I think the country requires fresh leadership," he said. "I do **t think I can be the captain to take the country to its next destination. In my view I think we should have a new prime minister in place by the start of the Conservative conference in October," he added.
