With utter sadness and devastation, we must report that veteran qawwal Amjad Sabri was shot dead yesterday in the streets of Karachi.

According to several media reports, the incident took place in the vicinity of Liaquatabad where gunmen fired multiple shots at his car, killing the re**wned qawwal in the process. May he rest in peace.
