Qandeel Baloch discussion dominates Punjab Assembly
 

LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly on Wednesday was abuzz with discussion of social media personality Qandeel Baloch and her selfies with Maulana Abdul Qavi, which emerged and caused quite a stir on social media a couple of days ago.

The Punjab Assembly session held was for the post-budget discussion, however, MPA Waheed Gul asked for permission to speak on Qandeel Baloch's recent selfies. When the permission was denied, Gul started creating a commotion for which the Speaker had Gul escorted out of the assembly for ten minutes.

PML-N's Hina Pervez Butt and Sheikh Ejaz condemned Mufti Abdul Qavi's actions and stated that he had played a serious joke with the nation. An inquiry must be conducted to further investigate the issue, they said.

PPP's Sardar Shahabuddin also staged a symbolic walkout from the Punjab Assembly. The post-budget assembly session will **w be held on Thursday, June 23 at 10 am.
