According to the media reports a girl who married a man of her choice was allegedly set on fire on Wednesday in Lahore’s factory area.

The deceased girl’s mother named Parveen was taken into custody by police.

Police claimed that the girl identified as Zeenat was burnt alive. Zeenat had married a man named Hasan few days ago, police added.

Police took into custody Zeenat’s dead body and sent it for post-mortem.

It is reported that Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif while taking serious **tice of the incident has directed police officials to investigate the matters and present him a report.
