Protest over excessive loadshedding

NANKANA SAHIB: Shopkeepers Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against prolonged suspension of electricity at city Nankana.

The protesters said areas of Anarkali Bazaar and Railway Road were without electricity since last 30 hours due to a fault in the transformer.

They blocked traffic and raised slogans against relevant authorities.

People are also facing severe problems due to excessive loadshedding especially during Taraveeh and Sehri timings at city Nankana and its outskirts.

SHOPKEEPERS HELD: Assistant Commissioner Nankana Rafique Ahsan and his team Tuesday arrested shopkeepers Yaqoob, Sadiq and Akbar on charges of overcharging at Chak 5/GB.
