Nawaz Sharif yet to respond to our questions: Imran Khan
 

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said his party has given the government time to explain over Panama Papers data leak, otherwise threatened to take the matter to the streets.

Imran Khan was addressing a rally in Faisalabad.

“We had asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to answer four questions,” he said. “It has been more than one and a half month and Nawaz Sharif is yet to respond,” he added.

Prime Minister Nawaz has been under pressure since documents released as part of the Panama Papers data leak showed his children owned several off-shore companies and used them to buy properties in London.

He denies wrongdoing, as do his children.

Before the start of the rally, the PTI chief also apologised to women supporters for mistreatment during his party’s earlier gatherings. “I apologise to our women for what happened in Islamabad,” he said. “I promise that such incidents will **t happen in PTI rallies anymore.”

The PTI chief added that they have formed a “Tiger Force” to protect their women supporters.
