Maria Bamford k**ws how to bounce back.

In a conference call with journalists about her upcoming Netflix show Lady Dynamite, Bamford says she only had one **te for herself during production: "Wake up."

"Hey, wake up. It's time to act again," she says. And that's how the stand-up comedian who was hospitalized for bipolar disorder helped bring this baleful and bright ****** to life.

Bamford plays a version of herself, a comedian of the same name who returns from the hospital determined to live an enriching life. Bamford regularly writes and performs standup, but Lady Dynamite, created by Mitch Hurwitz and Pam Brady, was written by Brady's team of 12 writers.* Read more...
