Making sure your daughter's Uber ride went as planned just got a lot easier.*

On Tuesday, Uber launched a new feature called Trip Tracker, enabling users to track their family members' rides with the service.*

The Trip Tracker is part of a**ther Uber feature called Family Profiles, which lets you add other riders to a joint family profile, with rides billed to the profile organizer. The people in your profile don't necessarily have to be a part of your family, but they do have to accept your invitation to the profile.*

The idea behind the feature is to track your family members in real time. Once someone in your Family Profile requests a ride, you'll be **tified with the option to track the ride. Then, you'll be able to follow the ride's progress on the map inside the Uber app (see below).* Read more...
