BBC set to 'scrap' its recipe archive and people aren't happy

LONDON — The BBC is poised to remove approximately 11,000 archived recipes following a review of the corporation's online output.

According to the new plan, which promises to save £15 million ($21 million) a year, recipes from TV shows will be posted online for 30 days and then deleted.*

A source told the Guardian that the recipes are being "archived or mothballed" and would "fall off the face of the internet after the site is closed."
