Hashwani stresses eradication of corruption
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Hashoo Group and Business tycoon Sadruddin Hashwani on Friday stressed the need to eradicate corruption and empower the youth in the country.
“We need to maintain accountability and to ensure transparency to stop corruption for eco**mic development and prosperity in the country,’’ he said this while talking to senior journalists at his residence in Islamabad. “There are politicians who had bicycles when they started politics but became billionaires later. Where all that dirty money came from?’’ Hashwani spoke highly of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and fully supported his war against corruption. “General Raheel is the last hope for Pakistan. He is doing an excellent job by standing up against corruption,’’ Hashwani remarked. He said proper strategy and planning was required to equip the youth with proper education and skills, which are 56 % percent of total population of the country. Chairman Hashoo Group said the government must support the country’s youth to evolve their careers in different fields and hoped that the country would get seasoned politicians and professionals to play role for the development and prosperity of the country. While talking to journalists, he argued in the support of presidential system as an alternate to parliamentary system in the country and added that the country should have at least 14 federating units. He added in the past different governments were involved in corruption and mismanagement and politicians were **t playing their role for the development and prosperity of the country. He commented, "We need nationalism and patriotism to unite for the development of the country." Elaborating on the welfare initiatives initiated by Hashoo Foundation, Sadruddin Hashwani said the foundation is looking after 50000 children including those in Tharparkar that are in need of humanitarian assistance. "We want that every Pakistani should acquire education and ** Pakistani should be without food, shelter and employment. This is the main reason Hashoo Foundation is extensively engaged in the welfare activities." Hashwani said arts and culture needs to be promoted in Pakistan. "I want to set up a museum in Shakarparian to preserve our great culture heritage. Our culture is highly rich and it makes a great civilization full of aesthetics and values. We need to cherish all those great traditions left by our great forefathers who were the torchbearers of the leading civilizations of the world.
