MQM expresses concern over ?possible terror attacks on leaders?
 

KARACHI: The coordination committee of the Muttahida Quami Movement expressed its grave concerns over the reports of targeting of the MQM leadership by the terrorists of banned-outfits.

In a statement, the coordination committee said that one of the detained terrorists, Zain Ansari, admitted during the investigation that he had done the reiki of the **minated mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhtar. It said the confessional statement unfolded the fact that the terrorists were continuously targeting the liberal and moderate political party, MQM, and its leadership.

The committee said it was decided in the National Action Plan that an operation would be started against the terrorists, extremists and their facilitators, but “unfortunately it was all happened against in**cent workers and leaders of MQM”.

It said that “instead of providing foolproof security to the MQM leadership under the terrorists’ threats, the law-enforcement agencies registering fake cases against them”. The coordination committee appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take immediate action against such terrorists.
