A new report claims that the painkiller Percocet was in Prince's system at the time of the iconic musician's April 21 death.

But a source tells*The Minneapolis Star Tribune*that it's unclear whether the painkiller caused Prince's death at the age of 57.

On Wednesday, the Star Tribunereported that Prince had arranged to meet with an addiction doctor "in an attempt to kick an addiction to painkillers." That same day, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Attorney's ****** an**unced that they were joiningthe *Carver County Sheriff's ****** in the investigation.*
