Farmer kills two mi**r sons in Toba

Relatives say the accused is mentally ill for last some months

TOBA TEK SINGH: A farmer killed his two sons and injured a**ther son and wife at Chak 332/JB near Nawan Lahore on Monday night.

According to police, Wilayat Ali Jatt allegedly killed his sons Haider Ali, 9, and Saqlain, 7, with the blows of a sharp-edged ******. Then, the accused attacked a**ther son Ali Hassan, 12, and wife Shakeela Bibi. As a result, they were injured seriously. The accused’s only daughter Kainat remained safe as she managed to escape from the house. According to the relatives and villagers, the accused was mentally ill for the last some months. The injured people were shifted to the Nawan Lahore Rural Health Centre from where the doctors referred Ali Hassan and his mother Shakeela to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital due to their critical condition. Police have arrested the accused and started investigation.

LAWYERS STRIKE: The District Bar Association on Tuesday observed complete strike against the alleged misbehaviour of the Food Department wheat purchase centre Rajana in-charge with two lawyers.

Meanwhile, DBA president Mian Farrukh Iqbal and general secretary Mian Salman Ghani, in a statement, said that lawyers Pervez Khan Gadhi and his son Umer Pervez Gadhi had gone to the wheat procurement centres to obtain gunny bags but the in-charge allegedly misbehaved with them. Later, police allegedly registered a fake case against the two lawyers, they added.
