Dr Asim says cases against him bogus, fabricated
 

KARACHI: Former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain has said that cases against him were bogus and fabricated and he was just facing a media trial.

While talking to media here on Friday after appearing before a trial court, Dr Asim claimed that statements of witnesses were recorded before investigation was started against him as according to him statements carry ** specific date with them.

He refuted that he ever met with Faryal Talpur during his detention.

Dr Asim further said that he went to the UAE embassy to sign a power of attorney authorizing his son to run a hospital in Dubai.
