LONDON — We've all heard the stories about pets travelling miles to get to an old home. We've all read tales of dogs and cats that get lost only to turn up on their owner's doorsteps weeks later.*

We've all seen Homeward Bound, and we all cried at that bit near the end when we thought Shadow had died, but frankly that wound's still far too raw and we're getting massively sidetracked so let's leave that one there for **w.

Pero, the pooch at the centre of this story, will surely have a film made about him one day. After his owners sent him to a man in Cockermouth, England to work on a farm, Pero escaped and apparently travelled "240 miles" back to his former owners' house near Aberystwyth, Wales. Read more...
